Embedded Video Engine (EVE) FT800 The FT800 Embedded Video Engine (EVE) is a great and easy to use graphic controller. EVE’s approach eliminates the traditional frame buffer memory as it renders an image on a line by line basis, to 1/16th pixel resolution. EVE also comes preloaded with a useful set of fonts and sounds in ROM, making it applicable for any application. It’s targeted for embedded applications to produce high quality Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). These LCD controllers have many applications, some of these include thermostats, medical appliances, instrumentation, home security systems, graphic touch pads and many more. The FT800 also has a 3 in 1 functionality that includes display, audio and touch operations. Dithering hardware also allows the chip to provide 24-bit (true colour) support on an 18-bit interface.
