L12 Micro Linear Actuators The L12 series miniature linear actuators from Actuonix are a unique line of actuators designed for a new generation of motion‐enabled products. Never before seen in a device of this size, these tiny linear actuators are an excellent alternative to designing with awkward gears, motors, servos and linkages. The L series of miniature linear actuators are highly flexible, configurable and compact linear motion devices with an optional sophisticated on-board microcontroller. The L12 has an axial design with a powerful drive-train and a rectangular cross section for increased rigidity. The best feature of this actuator however is the broad spectrum of configurations that are available. Option S – End of Stroke Limit Switches The L12-S actuators have limit switches that turn off power to the motor when the actuator reaches within 0.5 mm of the end of stroke. The S model cannot be used with the LAC control board. Option P – Potentiometer Position Feedback The L12-P actuators do not have a built-in controller but do provide analogue position feedback. The L12-P actuator can be used as a linear servo by connecting to an external controller. Connect to an LAC board for easy interface with any of the following control signals: Analogue 0-5v or 4 mA to 20 mA, or digital 0-5v PWM, 1 ms to 2 ms Standard RC or USB.
Using the L12-P as a linear servo, it is able to be used in RC toys and robotics. Features and Benefits • Compact miniature size
