Flexible Light Guides for SMD LEDs This family of flexible light pipes, from MENTOR, consist of a housing, light pipe and lens. Flexible light pipes offer an alternative to rigid light pipes where flexibility in design is required. They can be mounted to the PCB for use as a horizontal or vertical light guide. Available in a range of length options, the flexible light pipes have a round head. The pipes are fixed onto a PCB by two press-in lugs in the housing, offering an easy set-up process.
Flexible light pipes are designed for use with surface mount (SMD) TOPLED LEDs. The light pipe inject face sits in close proximity to the LED on the board.
