This safety interlock device provides the well-known reliability of non-contact switches along with greater tolerance to door misalignment and movement with its wide sensing field. It also features internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact. This cost-effective switch is specifically designed to be installed on machine guard doors. The magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch when the safety barrier is released. This opens the NC safety contact which then isolates power to the machine. This ensures that machinery cannot run until the guard is closed, ensuring that personnel cannot access a hazardous area and reducing risk of injury. The Ferrogard 440N-G02045 magnetic safety switch has a supply voltage rating of 110V ac at 3A current, FR10 rectangular housings made of moulded ABS plastic, and a 2m cable. It has 1NC (Normally Closed) Safety Contact (no auxiliary contacts). It also has an operating temperature range of -10°C to +65°C and a sensing distance of 12mm (Make) to 23mm (Break).
