With a combination of excellent chemical, electrical and physical properties, it is ideal for general purpose applications such as wire insulation and protection, reinforcement of terminations and joints, cable bundling and colour coding.
Features and Benefits
• Flexible polyolefin tubing
• Flame retardant (colours only)
• Extremely durable
• 2:1 and 3:1 shrink ratio meaning when heated the tubing shrinks to either half or a third of its original diameter
• Good resistance to chemicals and solvents
• Excellent physical and electrical performance
• Colour coded cables for easy identification
• Operating temperature -40°C to 135°C
• Heat shrink temperature: 80°C
• Easy to store, access and dispense
• Supplied on small reels within the box What does a heat shrink ratio of 2:1 mean?
A ratio of 2:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to half of its original diameter.
What does a heat shrink ratio of 3:1 mean?
A ratio of 3:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to one third of its original diameter.
How can I shrink the tubing?
A heat gun or a heat shrink oven are ideal ways to shrink your tubing. Before heating always check to ensure you know the correct heating temperature of your tubing.
Remember to ensure all health and safety precautions have been taken prior to using a heating devise.
