The Wurth Elektronik Metis-II plug wireless USB stick combine proprietary modules with an USB-UART converter IC. So you can communicate directly with the proprietary module via an virtual COM port and with a PC with USB connection. The USB radio sticks contain the respective radio module, which works with an USB converter.
