Evaluation Module for TGS8100 Air Quality Sensor A PCB module from Figaro which allows evaluation of the on-board TGS8100 air quality sensor. Operation is simplified by using a continuous output signal generated by the module. Although the TGS8100 operating mode uses intermittent detection via a 1-second cycle, the periodic sensor output is converted into a continuous voltage signal by the module's microprocessor. The TGS8100 sensor is mounted on a replaceable daughter-board and is sensitive to most common air contaminant gases. The module requires a regulated supply of 5Vdc and produces an output of 0-3V.

TGS821, TGS822, TGS823 & TG826 Gas Sensors A range of gas sensors from Figaro utilising tin dioxide (SnO2) semiconductor technology. In clean air the devices have low conductivity which increases in the presence of a detectable gas. A simple electrical circuit can be used to convert the change in conductivity to an output signal proportional to gas concentration. • Type TGS821 has high sensitivity and selectivity to hydrogen gas. The sensor can detect concentrations as low as 50ppm, making it ideal for a variety of industrial applications.

• Types TGS822 & TGS823 have high sensitivity to the vapours of organic solvents and a variety of combustible gases such as carbon monoxide, making them good general purpose sensors; type TGS823 has a ceramic base able to withstand temperatures of up to 200°C.

• Type TGS826 has high sensitivity to ammonia gas and can detect concentrations as low as 30ppm. It is ideally suited to critical safety-related applications such as the detection of ammonia leaks in refrigeration systems and ammonia detection in the agricultural field.

TGS832 Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Gas Sensors Gas sensors from Figaro for the detection of Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) or Halocarbon gases. These devices utilise tin dioxide (SnO2) semiconductor technology to provide an output proportion to gas concentration. The sensors have high sensitivity to the refrigerant gases commonly used in air conditioning systems and refrigerators, such as R-134a, R-404a, R-407c and R-410. • Type TGS832-A00 has a gas diffusion hole in the sensor cap as well as in the sensor base and by using the sensor with a suction pump, response speed can be accelerated, making it suitable for portable gas leakage checkers.

• Type TGS832-F01 uses filter material in its housing to eliminate the influence of interference gases such as alcohol, resulting in a highly selective response to CFCs. This feature makes the sensor ideal for stationary type leakage detectors which require durability and a high degree of resistance to interference gases.
