Vishay VSMY98545 Series IR Emitting Diodes The VSMY98545 series, from Vishay Semiconductors, are high power IR emitting diodes. These surface mount (SMT) devices has a dome shaped moulded lens containing a 42 mil chip.
Suitable applications for the VSMY98545 series include; machine vision, camera illumination (3D gaming) and IR illumination for CMOS cameras.

SurfLight™ technology therefore offers a higher intensity output of light. A higher intensity can reduce the number of emitters required for a design. This series also offers high speed with a high pulse current operation.
