The types of tests include whether the cable is set up correctly, connected, the strength or speed of the signal being sent through the cable. <B>How do network cable testers work?</B> Usually made up of 2 sections or 2 boxes, a network cable tester will have a receiver and a transmitter. A cable is then connected directly or with connectors to both for testing. Once the tester is switched on a signal or data is sent via the cable and a report or the results are shown on the receiver.
