The Broadcom HSM8-C350 is a top view surface mount IR ChipLED that comes in an industrial standard footprint of 3.2-mm x 1.6-mm. This LED has an integrated optical lens that narrows the viewing angle of the light beam thereby minimizing cross talk and increasing the on-axis intensity. The narrow viewing angle allows effective light coupling into secondary optics like light guide and light pipe. This product is available in 850-nm peak wavelength which makes it ideal for applications such as remote controls in home appliances, smart utility meters, light curtain in industrial automation and more.
