Broadcom’s Qmini 2 VI miniature USB spectrometer AFBR-S20M2VI features onboard electronics measuring VIS, wavelengths ranging from 370 to 750 nm with a typical 0.8 nm spectral resolution. The device offers full processing of spectra, averaging and smoothing along with binning and buffering. The handheld Qmini 2 device comes with a replaceable entrance slit which can be exchanged with a wider entrance slit adapter making the spectrometer more sensitive but will also decrease the resolution. See Spectrometers Slit evaluation kit 220-7149.
The Broadcom spectroscopy tool processes and evaluates mobile analysis applications as well as embedded solutions. Applications include Raman spectroscopy, analysis for environmental, forensic, and water quality. Furthermore, spectrometry applications such as light measurements, process control and monitoring and are used in Quality control. The application software WAVES and the spectrometer software development kit is available to download from Broadcom’s website.
